Kathy was raised in Minnesota and moved to San Diego, graduating from Mt Carmel High School. After high school she developed her leadership skills early, managing fast food stores while also attending Palomar Community College.

Transferring to the Palomar Institute of Cosmetology for Hair, Kathy completed its training and became a stylist. She began working at the Paul Jordan Salon in 1991, enjoying the variety of work she was able to do and increasing her knowledge of techniques and products.

Understanding how to work with and style hair naturally, Kathy excelled in satisfying client needs. In 2000, she became an owner of Paul Jordan, continuing to take care of her growing practice as well as managing the salon.

As a person who truly enjoys people, likes to make them feel good about themselves and wants to make a difference in people’s lives, Kathy became a co-founder of Bella D’ora. Her goal was to create a place, a sanctuary, in North County where people can go to take care of themselves. Her hope was, and is, that the Bella D’ora experience leaves customers and guests feeling completely satisfied, pampered and cared for – and that their happiness increases as a result of their Bella D’ora experience.
